Introductory Information Session for the TB Service NGOs Community on the Election of a Community Representative to the CCM

  • 08
  • October, 2026

On 8 October 2026, an introductory information session will be held for representatives of the TB service non-governmental organizations (NGOs) community on the rules and procedures for electing a community representative to the Country Coordinating Committee for work with international organizations on HIV and tuberculosis (CCM).

The objective of the session is to provide community representatives with the necessary information on the election process, principles of participation, requirements for voters and candidates, as well as the procedures for registration and voting.

During the session, participants will learn:

  • what the CCM is and what role the representative of the TB service NGOs community plays;
  • who is eligible to participate in the election as a voter;
  • what requirements apply to candidates for CCM membership;
  • how to register as a voter or candidate;
  • what documents need to be prepared and submitted;
  • how candidates will present themselves to the voters;
  • how secret voting and vote counting will be conducted;
  • how transparency and equal opportunities for all election participants will be ensured;
  • what the roles and functions of the Mandate Commission and independent observers are.

Particular attention will be given to the role of the future community representative on the CCM. The representative is expected to represent the interests of the community as a whole, rather than only those of their own organization, participate in discussions on issues of national importance, consult with the community, and ensure regular feedback.
